Concept Art “Parenthood”

While my camera is in the shop I figured I ought to keep up the productivity. I’ve finished chapter six of the novel and am about a third of the way through my sci-fi screenplay.

Here’s a sketch that I doodled and then transferred to canvas so that I could color it.

It’ll be for sale once I’m finished. Probably a fun piece to decorate a kids room with or an office if you’re a fan of Disney or Dreamworks animation.

I’ll be using acrylic on the canvas, and I have only color blocked the first layer, but here you go:

Pilgrim’s Progress…

I’m delighted to have found a real focus for the company, which has moved away from marketing and commercial work, and headed toward education and ministry.

Yes, I am a Christian, and I fully intend to use this company for Christ in one way or another. My excitement has no bounds as I write and design workshops for students who don’t normally have the opportunity to learn filmmaking.

Now, this move toward open profession of faith will NOT make me terribly popular in the secular world. Tough cookies. It’s happening.

Boxing Day and Head Shots!

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!!! I spent this morning recovering from a food-coma and worked on some head shots of my family members with my tele-photo lens. Along the way, I tried to catch some life in my garden, currently in progress (lots of weeding to do)…

Project Honest Photos

I’m getting annoyed with all of the makeup covered selfies and photoshop smooth portraits of people who aren’t comfortable in their own skin. So, although some would consider this, “unflattering,” I’d like to begin and promote photos and images of people the way they really look–spots and all.

Starting with myself. Let’s start fighting the selfie and all the vanity it spreads. God didn’t make a mistake when he created you. Honest Photos

P.S. Freckles are devastatingly underrated 🙂
